Depending on the completeness of submitted documents, claiming may range between 1-10 days on a regular cases and 14 days or more on special cases.

How do I claim my insurance?

To claim your insurance, please send an email via [email protected]. Written notice of incident on which claim may be based must be given to Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers within thirty (30) days after the date of the accident causing such disablement/dismemberment. 

Once approved, claim your benefit at any Cebuana Lhuillier branch nationwide.

Please note that some health insurance may be covered by cashless claims. This means, clients may no longer need to pay any amount during hospitalization.

How do I send money (domestic)

  • Visit any Cebuana Lhuillier branch and fill out the Pera Padala form.
  • Present the accomplished form, valid ID, and 24k card (if you are a 24k cardholder) to the branch personnel.
  • Give the total amount to be paid.
  • Secure the Pera Padala form (and count the change received, if there is any).
  • Provide the 10-digit control number to the receiver/beneficiary.

How do I know the service fee for sending money

Can I authorize someone else to claim my money

No, If the receiver or beneficiary is not available to claim the money, they may advise the sender to amend the receiver’s name.

Can I cancel or refund my remittance

The sender may cancel or refund their remittance. The sender needs to visit the branch where the transaction was processed. Please be reminded that the service fee is non-refundable.

Can I change the receiver’s name? How

The sender may visit any branch of Cebuana Lhuillier to change the receiver’s name. The sender needs to bring the Pera Padala form and present a valid ID. There is an amendment fee of Php10.

What are the acceptable IDs when pawning

As required by BSP, Clients who engage in a financial transaction with covered institutions for the first time shall be required to present the original and submit a clear copy of at least ONE (1) valid photo-bearing identification document issued by an official authority. For our clients’ convenience, Cebuana no longer requires submission of the photocopied ID. IDs are captured using a webcam in all branches. Clients are also required to submit an updated photo and other relevant information whenever the need for it arises.

Am I required to avail of ProtectMAX insurance

Our ProtectMAX personal accident microinsurance is optional. However, we highly recommend that you avail of it, considering the premium benefits that you will enjoy if you have one. For only P50 per certificate, you will get up to P25,000 personal accident coverage plus P5,000 fire cash aid and P1,000 hospital cash assistance for four months.

What is the period of coverage of ProtectMAX

Each ProtectMAX personal accident microinsurance certificate is valid for four months from enrollment. You must renew your ProtectMAX certificates after four months to continue your eligibility for the claiming of benefits should the time of need arise.

Does a Money Remittance transaction have an expiry

Most money transfer transactions are valid for 5 years with the exception of international remittance via Moneygram which is valid only for 45 days.

I’m only sending money, why do I have to present a valid ID for this transaction

We only require IDs from clients who will be sending money remittance for the first time. This is in line with our compliance with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) policy of knowing our clients to ensure the safety and integrity of your transaction.

?Can I still renew or redeem my item even if I lost my pawn ticket

Yes. Immediately inform your branch of the loss so that we can prevent redemption by unscrupulous individuals. During renewal or redemption, you need to present a notarized affidavit of loss and valid IDs.

?Will my jewelry item be damaged during appraisal

No. Our branch personnel are expertly trained to carefully appraise jewelry items. In some cases and with your permission, however, special tools may be needed to better appraise the items. The effects of these tools on your item will be barely noticeable.

?Aside from jewelry items and appliances, what other items do you accept for pawning

We also accept electronic gadgets such as mobile phone, digicam, videocam, magic sing, and the like. Inquire ­from the pawnshop nearest you for the other items accepted for pawning.

?Is my pawned item safe while in your custody

Yes, your item is safe because it will be placed in a sealed plastic pouch with your signature. This ensures that your item will never be tampered. Aside from this, we have enforced in every branch tight security measures to ensure the safety of the item you’ve entrusted with us.

?Can I see my item even if I will not redeem it

As part of our security measures, we do not allow items to be brought out from the vault except when the item is redeemed. This is to ensure the safety and security of your items.

?Can I redeem my item anytime during business hours

You can redeem your item anytime except on Sundays and after 5pm from Monday to Saturday.

?How can I avoid foreclosure of my item

To avoid foreclosure, you need to renew or redeem your item on or before the expiry date, that is, 120 days from the loan date.

?Will you be sending a notice/reminder prior to the expiration of my loan

Yes, we will send a notice via postal mail. Therefore, it is important that you provide us with your complete and updated address.

?What happens to my foreclosed item

Foreclosed items are offered for public auction. The auction schedules are published in various tabloid newspapers.

?Can anyone redeem the item on behalf of the pawner

We encourage our pawners to personally redeem their items. In the event that they are unable to do so, they may authorize another person to redeem the item on their behalf. Both the pawner and authorized representative must sign at the back portion of the pawnticket. Upon redemption, the representative must present the duly signed pawnticket along with the valid IDs of the pawner and the authorized representative. This is to ensure the safety and integrity of the item redemption and protection of our pawner.
