One lucky Happiest Pinoy Facebook fan just won a Samsung Galaxy tab and an invite to the country’s happiest event yet – the awarding of the Nationwide Search for the Happiest Pinoy 2012.
Carlos Andres’ photo of Erol Liwanag, and Aeta boy was chosen among the many entries. According to Andres, he captured the photo during their outreach program to 200 Aeta families of Sitio Pastolan. “My happiness is seeing the smiles on children’s faces and knowing that I am the one who put them there.” said Carlos Andres. Runners-up were Joel Sombrito, Ferdinand Angeles, Mark Anthony Estocado, Ace Mark Ramos, Marissa Estocado, Mark Joseph Cabangon Sy, Poler Lira, and Joseph Curada who received P2,000 worth of SM gift certificates and an invite to the awards night as well.
Conceptualized in 2009, the Search aims to rekindle the Filipino’s innate values of optimism, resilience, and hope amidst ongoing worldwide crises. Ten finalists will be named in the awarding in September where one will be chosen as the Happiest Pinoy for 2012.
