PJ Lhuillier Inc. (PJLI) and its President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier were finalists in three award categories at the 4th Asia CEO Awards. PJLI received recognition as finalists of the Top Employer of the Year, Top Filipino Executive of the Year, and Executive Leadership Team of the Year.
The company has seen tremendous growth over the last few years. From a quaint pawnshop business, PJ Lhuillier, Inc. (PJLI) boomed into a dynamic, non-banking financial institution with over 1,500 Cebuana Lhuillier branches all over the country. Today, the company owns and operates businesses that deal not only with pawning but also with local and international remittance, non-life insurance, jewelry trade and retail, hotel, information technology, sports, and real estate/property management.
PJLI has responded with innovative products and services attuned to the needs of the company’s growing clientele. For example, loyal clients are now being rewarded through the very first international remittance rewards program dubbed Pera Padalove.
All these business ventures and industry leadership have caught the attention of the event’s organizers. Although PJLI didn’t bag the top awards, one of the organizers said that PJLI is “certainly considered an impressive group.”
The awards recognition ceremonies were held on Nov. 14, 2013 at the Solaire Resort & Casino. Almost 800 business leaders and representatives were in attendance.
