PJ Lhuillier Foundation and Mary Mother of the Poor Foundation Hold Medical and Dental Mission

With health as one of its thrusts, the PJ Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (PJLFI) in partnership with the Mary Mother of the Poor Foundation (MMPF), held a medical and dental Mission on November 20, 2011 at the Shrine of Monte Maria in Alfonso, Cavite. More than 100 patients were given free medical consultations and medicine and 28 patients were given free dental check-ups and tooth extractions.

The Mary Mother of the Poor Foundation, a charitable group headed by the healing priest, Father Fernando Suarez, regularly conducts medical and dental mission for the benefit of its pilgrims. This year, the PJLFI co-sponsored the event in support of MMPF’s advocacy to help the disadvantaged especially its religious devotees who need health attention.

Together with volunteers from Cebuana Lhuillier in Southern Luzon, the team assisted the medical and dental group who conducted the medical check-ups for poor residents of Brgy. Amuyong, Alfonso, Cavite. Services provided were blood pressure checking, blood sugar test, medical consultation, basic dental check-up and tooth extraction. Medicine for common ailments and vitamins prescribed by the medical professionals were also provided to the patients by United Laboratories, Inc. (UNILAB).
