April 11, 2013 – Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Solutions (CLIS) introduced the Cebuana Compulsory Third Party Liability (CTPL) in a local press conference held at Max Restaurant in SM City-Davao.
CLIS, the insurance arm of P.J. Lhuillier, Incorporated (PJLI), partnered with the country’s number one motor insurer, Federal Phoenix Assurance Company (FPAC) to offer the motoring public the most convenient way to obtain CTPL policies. Policy renewals and insurance settlements can now be easily done in any of Cebuana Lhuillier’s more than 1,500 branches nationwide.
During the media launch, CLIS General Manager Jonathan Batangan presented the key features of Cebuana CTPL. Among those is its “no fault indemnity” clause which translates to a guaranteed Php15,000.00 accident coverage regardless of who is at fault. Another neat feature is the 24 hour claims turn-around time to process settlements, making it the fastest institutionalized claims processing in the country. He also emphasized how Cebuana CTPL significantly helps the motoring public by offering the right premiums minus the “mark-up” and poses a challenge to fly-by-night insurance companies in issuing fake CTPLs.
The Davao launch is the fourth leg in the nationwide campaign with the first three held in Manila, Baguio and Cebu.
