How Legends Are Made: Cebuana Lhuillier’s Brillo Awards Sparkle with Pride and Purpose

Cebuana Lhuillier recently held its 2025 Brillo Awards at the World Trade Center in Pasay City—an evening celebrating the loyalty, excellence, and contributions of its employees across the country.

With the theme “How Legends Are Made,” this year’s ceremony honored close to a thousand KaCebuanas for their years of dedicated service and outstanding performance. The event remains a key tradition in Cebuana Lhuillier’s employee engagement efforts, consistently recognizing individuals who have helped drive the company’s mission forward through hard work and commitment.

For decades, Cebuana Lhuillier has championed consistent, world-class training and holistic employee development, ensuring that every KaCebuana flourishes not only in skill but also in spirit. The Brillo Awards are woven into the very fabric of the company’s identity, providing a platform for colleagues to be recognized, share their journeys, mark milestones, and celebrate one another. This tradition fosters a strong culture of community and teamwork.

“At Cebuana Lhuillier, we believe legends aren’t born, they’re built. And many of them are right here with us,” Jean Henri Lhuillier said. “Our employees are the heart of our story. By recognizing their dedication, we shine a light on the everyday excellence that truly makes them legendary.”

The 2025 Brillo Awards spotlighted long-serving employees who have shown unwavering dedication through the years, including Senior Executive Vice President Philippe Andre Lhuillier, who was recognized for his 20 years of service. His leadership has contributed to the company’s continued growth, with a focus on collaboration, operational excellence, and service to the Filipino people.

In total, 779 KaCebuanas were recognized for their loyalty and dedication, marking service anniversaries of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years. Among the most remarkable were 87 employees who reached 30 years—a powerful testament to the company’s strong culture of purpose and belonging.

The evening also honored seven KaCebuanas who marked their 35th year with the organization: Maria Dolores Mariot Camama, Marie Antoinette Garcia Coronel, Leoncia Geverola Gonzaga, Merilisa Salasa Soliano, Hedy Ponce de Leon Yulolo, Gina Cabio Zamora, and Elesa Mortejo Modiquillo.

For Gonzaga, the moment was deeply meaningful. “I’m proud to be part of this amazing company, and I look forward to continuing to serve with passion and dedication,” she said. “With all my heart, thank you so much.”

In addition to these milestones, the prestigious JHL Cup recognized outstanding contributions in operations and support. In the final highlight of the evening, CLH Widus Clark/Region 2B was named Branch of the Year, Area 402/Region 4A received Area of the Year, and Region 4A was awarded Region of the Year—a resounding recognition of their exceptional performance and leadership.

Cebuana Lhuillier’s reputation as a great employer continues to shine through the loyalty and longevity of its people. With 87 employees reaching 30 years or more of service, the company stands as a beacon of stability, purpose, and growth. Its culture of recognition, development, and inclusivity has created an environment where employees thrive not just professionally, but personally. The Brillo Awards are more than a celebration—they are a reflection of Cebuana Lhuillier’s unwavering commitment to its people.

“As we honor our legends through the Brillo Awards, we also reinforce the values that make Cebuana Lhuillier a truly exceptional place to work,” said Jo Ann Tacorda, Chief Administrative Officer, First Vice President and Group Head of Corporate Services. “These awards are a powerful expression of our employer brand—one that celebrates dedication, nurtures growth, and inspires excellence across the organization.”

As the 2025 Brillo Awards drew to a close, Cebuana Lhuillier looked ahead with optimism and renewed commitment. True to this year’s theme, “How Legends Are Made,” the company celebrated not just achievements, but the journey, values, and character that define a true KaCebuana. With hearts full of gratitude and eyes on the future, the organization eagerly anticipates reuniting in 2026 to recognize more legends in the making—because when Cebuana Lhuillier’s people shine, the entire organization moves forward with purpose and pride.
