With financial inclusion at the core of its mission, Cebuana Lhuillier took part in the launch of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion (NSFI) spearheaded by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
Her Majesty Queen Maxima of Netherlands, in her capacity as UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, delivered the keynote address during the launch last July 1 at the Philippine International Convention Center. Cebuana Lhuillier was represented by Cebuana Lhuillier Rural Bank Manager Rose Matias, ICT Manager Wilardo Cobre, Fiscal Compliance Division Manager Sally So and Department Managers Elisa Capit and Joyce Orgasan, and Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Solutions General Manager Jonathan Batangan.
The NSFI provides a framework for developing a financial system that is inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the unbanked and underbanked, involving both public and private sectors.
